The oven should be preheated fully when applicable. The objective is to have all the components reheated and ready to plate at nearly the same time. Some variances will occur and that’s just fine! Everything will come together and be great in the end!

Follow These Steps

Okay, really the only things you want hot are the rice, beans, and chicken. My suggestion for all three is the microwave. You can microwave right in the container. Maybe add a tablespoon of liquid to the rice? You should loosen the lid first. Barring that, you could put them in appropriately sized saucepans and heat ‘em up until they start to bubble or an instant read thermometer reaches 165 degrees for the chicken.

Gather the rice, chicken, and beans into a bowl, then top with the fresh pico de gallo and cilantro crema. You know the drill.
