Honey and Cinnamon Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Perfectly roasted sweet potatoes are very simple and satisfying. Our family prefers roasted sweet potatoes over the candied or casserole dishes that you often find on Thanksgiving. I love this dish because it is super easy, and it doesn’t require a lot of time in the oven (which is valuable real estate on Thanksgiving).

  1. Arrange a rack in the middle of the oven and heat to 400 degrees.
  2. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into 1-inch cubes.
  3. Place the sweet potatoes on a rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle with the oil (melt the ghee if using) and sprinkle with salt. Sprinkle with cinnamon and toss to coat (using your hands for the best results). Arrange the potatoes in a single layer.
  4. Roast for 15 minutes. Use a thin spatula to flip the potatoes, add the honey, and toss to coat. Roast until the potatoes are tender and browned all over, 15 to 20 minutes more.
