Mediterranean Chicken Gyros with Lemon Dill Yogurt Sauce

If you’re not accustomed to eating lamb, this chicken gyro is the perfect alternative! Green Bean Delivery provides quality ingredients that make up this delicious dish. You’ll love the Greek yogurt dill sauce that comes with it adds a beautiful, lightness to the filling gyro.

  1. Slit chicken breast with a knife so they are about 1 inch thick for even cooking.
  2. Marinate with Italian dressing, salt, pepper, and lather with 1/2 cup Greek yogurt evenly overnight or 1-2 hours. The Greek yogurt locks in moisture when cooking.
  3. Grill chicken breast until done or cook in the oven at 400′ for 10-15 minutes until done.
  4. Let chicken sit for 5 minutes after cooking in an open container to reserve all the juices and then slice.
  5. Toast pita bread while chicken is cooking.
  6. In a small bowl mix the other 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and diced dill.
  7. When pita is toasted, add sliced cucumber, tomato slices, onion slices, grilled chicken and top with a dollop of Greek yogurt sauce.
