Sautéed Purple Sweet Baby Broccoli

Need one more side dish at your dinner table? This sauteed purple sweet baby broccoli is simple to cook and uses minimal ingredients. The burst of lemon adds a nice acidity to the dish and brightens up the flavor!

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Drop the sweet baby broccoli in the water and blanch for 2 minutes.

Drain and immerse in a bowl of ice water.

Melt the butter in a sauté pan over medium heat.

Add the garlic and stir.

Drain the sweet baby broccoli and add it to the garlic; heat for 2 minutes.

Add the lemon zest and juice, ½ teaspoon salt and a couple turns of freshly ground pepper; toss well before serving.

 

Serves 4-6
