This week, our mouths are watering thinking about Leane and Michael’s Sugarbush Maple Syrup! The trees have been tapped and may the festival begin! This year is the 21st Annual Sugarbush Maple Syrup Festival in scenic Salem, Indiana. If you’ve never had the pleasure of attending this wonderful event, we hope you will add it to your bucket list. There will be several activities including: Sugarbush tours on the hour, music, crafts, candle making and more! Not to mention, the incredibly tasty menu focused on Elf’s favorite… SYRUP!
If you are not a syrup connoisseur, pure maple syrup is the original North American sweetener. It is also considered a natural health food, containing elements zinc and manganese which strengthen the immune system and have antioxidant properties. Most importantly, pure maple syrup has a distinct, sweet taste that lends itself to everything from cookies to salmon. In particular, Indiana maple syrup has a darker fuller flavor than syrups from the East Coast.
Leane and Michael bottle their syrup in small batches right on the farm to ensure quality and freshness. All the syrup is graded by color and bottled after inspection. They are a small, family-owned and operated maple syrup business that we are thrilled to be able to offer to our customers. We believe their pure maple syrup is one of the best in the country! But don’t take our word for it, try it yourself! Or better yet, check out their fun festival this weekend!
