Help Save Local

It’s no secret that we are in the midst of a large shake-up in the food industry. We know you have more choices than ever when it comes to getting food on your table, and it’s easy to start looking at these options as interchangeable, because with savvy marketing they can all seem the same.

Unfortunately, a lot of these changes are driven by private equity dollars and demand for higher profits, not necessarily for better quality food, providing more support to local farmers and artisans, or to support your local communities. That’s how Green BEAN Delivery is different. By choosing to shop with us, you’re helping the food industry move in the right direction – where food is more than a commodity, is produced with care, makes you healthier, and supports your community. We make this happen in a variety of ways.

1) Supporting Local Farmers and Artisans

From the beginning, our mission has been to be a platform where local farmers and food makers reach the market in a scalable way, providing a sales channel that becomes a foundation for their growth and viability. Today, we can proudly say we’ve become the most extensive farmer and artisan network in the Midwest.

2) Our Clean Store Promise

We reject foods containing antibiotics, hormones, preservatives, dyes, and artificial flavors. Clean food is more sustainable and protects our environment so we can leave this Earth a better place for our children and children’s children. We don’t carry just any groceries – they are some of the best organic and local produce, farm-fresh dairy, humanely-raised meat, sustainable seafood, and unique artisan foods available.

3) Community-Focus

Our involvement in the community doesn’t end at your doorstep. One of our main initiatives is giving back through local food banks and helping solve food insecurity. It’s a commitment we take seriously, and to date, we’ve donated 1,106,568 pounds of produce and healthy food to local food banks.

What can you do? Get social – share this post or share ways that you’re helping to save local. Post about your favorite “local” experiences, local food, and local businesses with #helpsavelocal.

We’re doing our part by making shopping for and eating healthy food more convenient and accessible to our customers and community. As an independently owned and operated company, you can feel good about the quality of products you’re receiving and where your food dollars are going. Despite increased competition in the industry, we remain hopeful that, with your support, we can continue to create positive change for local producers in the Midwest.

If you’re in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, or the St. Louis area, chances are we serve your area. Visit us online to learn more about how we’re fulfilling our mission to support local producers and bring clean food to your doorstep. To all our current and future customers, thank you for supporting us and the local producers we partner with!
