Fennel Sausage & Pluot Toast with a Fried Egg

Not sure what to do in the kitchen with a pluot? It’s a sweet like an apricot and tart like a plum and makes a delicious addition to this Smoking Goose fennel sausage on a crusty slice of bread with a fried egg on top. Trust me, you’ll love this for breakfast!


1. Start grill and turn to medium heat
2. Cut fennel in half and coat with 1 tsp. avocado oil, salt and pepper
3. Cut pluots in half and coat lightly with brown sugar
4. Place meat, pluots and fennel on the grill
5. Cook pluots for 4 minute, remove from heat
6. Cook fennel and sausage for 10 minutes, flipping once half way through
7. When ingredients are on the grill, slice the fresh bread, coat with avocado oil and toast in a cast iron pan
8. Smear cream cheese on one side of the toasted bread
9. Cook eggs over easy
10. Slice the grilled pluots, fennel and sausage then place them in an array on the bread
11. Serve with egg on top
12. Enjoy!
