Sweet and Crunchy Pecans

There is nothing I love more than pecans encrusted with a sweet and crunchy topping! I love to make these sweet and crunchy pecans as an appetizer for a party or as a snack to have sitting in a decorative bowl at home. My kids love them, and they are always a hit when taken to a party. I’m giving you a warning now—it is hard to stop eating these once you start.

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Arrange pecans on a baking sheet and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  • Oven roast until they become slightly darkened and fragrant, 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and mix in the brown sugar, stirring constantly.
  • Add a dash of vanilla and enough water to make the sauce a honey consistency (a couple tablespoons are usually enough).
  • Remove from heat and pour over the pecans once they are finished roasting.
  • Stir to combine and then sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Allow to cool to room temperature then enjoy!
